Setting-up a bass guitar
Setting-up a bass guitar is often regarded as a mysterious art known only to the chosen ones. It's not actually that difficult once you know a few fundamentals, like how the truss rod works, and a good set-up can easily mean the difference between a bass that plays like a dog and one that feels comfortable and easy.
Here are a few links to some online resources which can help you have a go yourself. Remember not to make drastic adjustments to the truss rod within a short space of time (the neck needs time to settle into a new position - patience grasshopper) and you should be fine.
